And they can't, they won't, and they don't stop ... fauxlero!

Anne Adams 4607

Julie from Sew-Retro Vintage Patterns just sent this to me, and I *wants* it. But it's not my size! (It's B38.) And, as we've already established, I'm way too lazy to grade patterns. Anyone got it in a B36?

Anyway, it's sweeeeet. Look at those pockets! I would definitely coordinate the pocket flaps and the neckline band. I might even go so far as to add another coordinating band around the hem. (My laziness doesn't extend to unnecessary design touches, only to grading patterns.)

Sigh. I hope one of you B38 ladies buys it, makes it, sends me a picture, and wears it in good health to the next meeting of the Fauxlero Club.

Beyonce

Beyonce on her way to the Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Boston Celtics game during the 2008 NBA Playoffs at the TD Banknorth Garden May 14, 2008 in Boston, Massachusetts.
Now, I’ll be the first to admit that Beyonce looks extremely well put together here but in general, her style choices are hit and miss. She’s one of those celebrities that always look presentable but doesn’t have a discernible style of her own. In any case, she knocked this look out of the park and the goods news is it won’t cost an arm and three leg to recreate. See below for some tips.

It finally caught up

Shorts over leggings? Nothing new for girls albeit it has been somewhat abused with the footless tights and denim shorts combos. It is a useful tool when tights under shorts feel too much and you do want to purposely stump your body with some Japanese-streetstyle layering techniques such as wearing ruched leggings under baggy shorts... ok, just a few then who don't mind stumping their body.

In the slew of menswear SS09 shows in Paris, this layering trick has been adopted by a few designers... Givenchy, Number (N)ine (a looser shorts over trousers way of layering...) and Kiminori Morishita. The boyf said no in an instant. What say you, 5% of Style Bubble readers who are men (or has that percentage increased...)? Or just any two cents on shorts over leggings... come on, it's a Saturday... don't be shy... I'm off to battle the sales like a warrior and I want relief reading when I get back...

Agent Provocateur Body Glamour

Body-Glamour.jpg

Agent Provocateur Body Glamour
($40) was one of those products I just had to have despite a seriously foul smell that I knew would refrain me from ever using the product. Has anyone else ever fallen victim to cute packaging? I just loved the shape of the bottle and the signature pink and black color-combo works so well I knew this would look fab in my bathroom! Of course, I'm kicking myself for needlessly spending $40 (though for Agent Provocateur isn't that kiiind of a bargain?), because it takes up room on my already cluttered bathroom counter-top. It's too bad that all of Agent Provocateur's products smell like cheap granny perfume, (even their pink tissues that come in a sleek black box with sexy messages like Desire Me printed on both the box and the tissues themselves, are scented with this scent that just makes my stomach turn), because I truly love everything about the way these products look! On a side note, I find their bras similarly to look fab, so I buy them often even though they feel cheaply made and more so then not, end-up itching me to the point where I can't wear them or they seem to fall apart easily. Someone help AP so I don't continually have buyer's remorse!

Who you calling fatto?

Fatto a mano, means hand made...I don't know if this tote, named Fatto A Mano, from Carlos Falchi is in fact crafted by hand, but it sure is made with glam!

The exotic python embossing saves this bag from being too 'beach club lady", though as with most metallic shiny things, it's up to the wearer to keep it from sliding into the tacky zone.
Generously sized, with enough inner pockets and features to organize even the busiest jet setter this bag is a workhorse. With it's included mini zip pouch, it goes easily from carry-on, to beach, to overnight, to work.
You can get a Fatto A Mano in silver, gold or pewter for $230, from Calypso.
