Next Stop: Penn Station

Do you know, dear readers, that between DC and Manhattan there are no fewer than four Penn Stations? Baltimore, Philly (sorta-halfway) Newark, and NYC (that's the entrance I popped out of this morning): each has a Penn Station. And why is this? Well that's because back in the day the Pennsylvania Railroad gave the same name to many of their larger passenger stations. Huh. That was some forward-thinking marketing.

And marketing is the magic word of the day here at the BlogHer Business Conference (be sure to check out the live-blogging). A little over an hour ago I had the pleasure of giving a presentation with Toby Bloomberg of the Diva Marketing Blog and we started out the presentation in the only way we knew how: with a fashion show. Yep, Toby had the brilliant idea of having me wear an outfit from Goodwill for the presentation and then auctioning it off on the DC Goodwill eBay store later today.

Oh, do you wanna see of pic of me in my business conference finery using big words and sitting on tall chairs in a room with candelabras? Of course you do! Check out the Horn Group Weblog. And yes, the shoes are awesome.

More from me soon. I need a nap, a snack, then I'll be ready to shop!
